✦ Synopsis

A semiconductor model for electrical conductivity in dense vapours of alkali metals in the transitio region of densities is proposed. The way of calculation of the energy gap separating the valence electrons in the localized ground states from the conduction band is indicated. The Boltzmann equation forthe electrons in the conduction band is written down and solved. An explicit expression for the kkctrical conductivity is given.
