✦ Synopsis

Elcctriral condiirtivity (0) antl thermoelectric powcr (Q) of polycrystalline nickel-zinc ferritcs of different roinposit ions was investigated as a function of rornposition a n d temperature. The elertriral conductivity in these ferrites is explained on the basis of the hopping mechanism. Plots of log (oT) versus 10S/T are almost linear and show a transition near the ciiric temperature. The acetivation energy in the ferrimagnetic rcigion is iii general less than that in the paranmgnetir rcgion. The carrier roncentlation and mobility of chaige c*arric,rs has bccn tlisrrisqed as a function of ron~position antl teniperaturc..
