In this paper we report the study of the perovskites La 0.7 Ca 0.3 Mn 0.5 Co 0.5 O 3 and La 0.8 Sr 0.2 Mn 0.5 Co 0.5 O 3 by neutron powder diffraction at various temperatures and magnetization measurements in zero applied field and at low cooling regimes. The replacement of half Mn by Co in La 0.7 C
