Electrrc field quenches of recomb~atlon nuores&ncc followring ~lrn~~neous two~hoton ~o~~~on of TMPD in isooctane is measured at pulsed field strengths up to 43 X IO' V/m. The different isoenergetic motecubr states reached via one-photon and two-photon excitation yield simJv values of the photophyocal parameters which govern geminate ckge pau formation and decay.
