A hexapole electrostatic lens with mass-spectrometric detection has been used to focus a polar component of the supersonic beam containing monomers and small clusters of formic acid, methanol and ethanol. Formic acid trimer, and methanol and ethanol dimers were shown to be polar aggregates and their effective dipole moments were evaluated.
