โฆ Synopsis
Two theoretical results, namely the local and nonlocal ones. were presented on the uniaxial compression modulus ( "~ and the tilt modulus C44 of the fluxoid lattice in type-II superconductors. These moduli are examined theoretically by investigating the deformation of the fluxoid lattice in detail in terms of the continuity equation of the magnetic flux. The obtained moduli arc the local ones which are independent of the wave number k of the spatial deformation of the fluxoid lattice. The reason why the nonlocal theory is not correct is argued. It is shown that the requirements of the quantizafion oflhe magnetic flux and div B=0 are not fulfilled in the nonlocal theory' for derivations of the compression modulus (",, I k ) and the tilt modulus ('a4( k ). respeclivel.x
