✦ Synopsis
A new and simple method to prepare aldehydes in the chromanone and thiochromanone series has been found by the condensation of o-hydroxy-and o-mercapto-acetophenones with a vinyloguous formamidinium salt.
Bei den Synthesen der 6-Heterotetracycline 6-Thiatetracyclin (1 a) -3), 6-Thiaminocyclin (lb)4) und 6-Oxatetracyclin (lc)') spielen die Aldehyde 2a, b, c als Schlusselprodukte eine wichtige Rolle. Wahrend wir die Aldehyde der Thiochromanon-Reihe, 2a und 2b, nach vielstufigen Verfahren herstellen muRten, war uns in der Chromanon-Reihe die Synthese des Aldehyds 2c nach einer neuen Methode gelungen').
