✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Alicyclische und aromatische Ketole oder Ketolacetate cyclisieren in alkoholisch‐ammoniakalischer Cu‐II‐acetatlösung zu den entsprechenden [Imidazolyl‐(2)]‐ketonen. Die Bildung der Oxypyrazine wird dabei weitgehend zurückgedrängt. Ihre Abtrennung von den als Cu‐I‐Salzen ausfallenden Ketonen gelingt sehr glatt. Die Vorteile des Verfahrens gegenüber anderen Imidazolylketonsynthesen werden diskutiert.
