Epoxidation of di-0-acetyl-roridin A (2) gave the two mono-epoxidcs 3 (not pure) and 4 (main product) and the di-epoxide 5 . Subsequent treatment of 4 with ozone and NaBH, led to the esters 6 and 8. They yielded the acetyldcrivativcs 7 and 9 respectively. Since the degradation products prove the sit
