We use techniques developed by Jacobowitz and Treves (Hokkaido Math. J. 12 (1993), 276-292) to prove the existence of a class of realizable CR structures, with dimension and codimension larger than one, that can be perturbed into nonrealizable CR structures. 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
