Das Aluminiumjodur ist im Kohlensaurestrome , unter sehr allmahlicher Zugabe des Jod's darzustellen. Der QJ4, der etwa 5 0 % der theoret. Ausbeute betragt, ist aus Schwefelkohlenstoff uqzukrystallisiren und im Kohlensaurestrom zu trocknen. Xrystalle sind regular, von dunkelrother Farbe, spec. Gew. 4,32 bei 20,2O. Er verhalt sich in sonstiger Beziehung dem Chlorkohlenstoff analog.
