✦ Synopsis

The recent rediscovery and subsequent extension of the Kelvin formulation have been used to study the sensitivity for anisotropic materials. Thus, we have computed the components of the elasticity tensor C ijkm , and we have used the tensorial presentation of the Kelvin formulation of the linear anisotropic Hooke's law, in order to obtain the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the stiness or compliance matrix. We have considered the behaviour of the plain woven composites to the sensitivity of the material constants. For this purpose we have used an approximate method for the eigensensitivities of compliance matrix as well as other methods as Nelson, Wang from vibration analysis. For computation, the programmes with BORLAND C 3.1 language have been used.

A new organic/inorganic coating material based on the modification of a conventional melamine/polyol system has been developed. Polyhydroxyethylmethacrylate functionalized with alkoxysilane group was mixed with hexamethoxymethylmelamine. Upon heating under an acid catalyzed condition, both sol-gel r
