In perfused rat liver stimulation of the hepatic nerve plexuses increased via a,-receptors glucose and lactate output decreased flow and caused an overflow of noradrenaline into the hepatic vein. Infusion of noradrenaline and adrenaline also elicited similar metabolic and hemodynamic alterations via
