✦ Synopsis

Stable derivatives of 2,5-dihydro-1,2-oxaphospholes were obtained in excellent yields from the reaction between electron-deficient acetylenic compounds, and ethyl 3-bromopyruvate or methyl 4-chloroacetoacetate in the presence of triphenylphosphine in dry ether.
