A simple and highly efficient procedure has been described for the synthesis of 6‐aryl‐9‐(4‐phenoxphenyl)‐1,2,4‐triazolo [4,3‐a] [1,8] napthyridines (4) by the oxidation of 4‐phenoxybenzaldehyde 3‐aryl‐1,8‐naphthyridin‐2‐ylhydrazones (3) with chloramines‐T in methanol under microwave irradiation.
