## Abstract We propose and demonstrate a novel, all‐fiber and wavelength tunable Er^3+^/Yb^3+^ co‐doped cladding‐pumped fiber‐ring laser, which utilized amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) as a secondary source so that it can operate in L‐band. The lasing threshold can be reduced to 30% by reflect
