β¦ Synopsis
Laser excltatlon of the SI -So transItIon m super-cold beams of andme IS found to produce the parent ton with nearly 100% eftictency at a laser flu\ as low as 2 X lo7 W cm-*. Excltatton spectra of the photolon signal are sunilar to the known St -So absorptton spectrum wth the addltton of power broadening and a non-resonant coherent background.

We report the results of a study on the vibrational structure in the (n, 3s) Rydberg state of iso-butanal, carried out via 2 + 1 multiphoton ionization spectroscopy in a supersonic expansion. Spectra were recorded for both the normal species, (CH 3 ) 2 CHCHO, and the deuterated isotopomer, (CH 3 ) 2
Two-color multiphoton ionization spectra of jet-cooled p-difluorobenzene due to the transitions from S, state to highly excited Rydberg states have been observed. At least six different Rydberg series of s and d characters were found. The results indicate a reduction of molecular symmetry in the Ryd
