Chemilnminescence of MgI, CaI, and Sri was observed in a beam-gas arrangement when atomic beams of Mg, Ca, and Sr were excited to the 'P, states. Total collision and chemiluminescence cross sections were measured. For MgI, in the region of the A 211-X 2I;+ transition reported from absorption experim
