## Abstract A variety of cyclopenta‐fused naphthalene and phenanthrene derivatives (25 examples) are obtained by the palladium‐catalyzed reaction of 1,7‐diaryl‐1,6‐diynes with aryl halides through C—C coupling and C—H bond activation of the incorporated aryl group.
