✦ Synopsis

For very large systems, the earlier method of computer simulation by molecular dynamics (MD) has been compared with the newer link-cell (LC) method. The results show clearly that the LC method does not iniprove the efficiency of traditional MD simulations in spite of the great memory saving achieved.
