Thermodynamic aspects of the combination of melt crystallization or sweating with vacuum distillation are considered using phase diagrams for the region of solid ± liquid ± vapour equilibrium. Experimental studies of the separation of liquid organic mixtures in distillation crystallization and the removal of impurities from solids (layers, granules, powders) in distillation sweating are carried out. The combination allowed a high efficiency of separation to be achieved in one step. Variants of the integration of distillation crystallization with pervaporation are proposed, and the separation of aqueous-organic and organic mixtures is conducted on a hybrid setup. The integration made it possible to combine a high selectivity of crystallization and membrane processes with easy phase separation in distillation. Main integration principles used in the development of hybrid processes are formulated.
