## Abstract ## Objectives/Hypothesis: To review a new technique during total thyroidectomy that facilitates parathyroid gland preservation and selective autotransplantation utilizing topical 2% plain lidocaine as a spasmolytic/vasodilator agent. ## Study Design: Retrospective case series review
