โœฆ Synopsis

Using the experimental method of retrograde cell degeneration efferent connections of the supra-geniculate nucleus to the caudal part of the ipsilateral putamen were demonstrated in rats. Following lesions in the cortex, rostra1 putamen and caudate nucleus the supra-geniculate nucleus remains intact, but following lesions in the caudal part of the putamen this nucleus shows retrograde cell degeneration.

The supra-geniculate nucleus belongs to the intermediate nuclei of the thalamus, where it constitutes the caudal part. The connections suggest that this nucleus contributes in some way to opto-motor or auditivo-motor functions.

A study was made of the efferent fiber connections of the trigeminal nucleus caudalis in the marmoset monkey (Oedipomidas oedipus). Degeneration resulting from nucleus caudalis lesions in twelve animals was studied by the Nauta technique. Following lesions of the trigeminal nucleus caudalis, degener

In a previous report (Buisseret-Delmas et al. They named this nuclear interface the interstitial cell group (icg). In this study,

The purpose of the experiment was to determine the connections of the three regions of the anterior vcntral cochlear nucleus in the rat. Lesions were placed in the regions of the nucleus in 11 rats. After 25 days each animal was sacrificed and its brain impregnated by the protargol method of Bodian.
