โฆ Synopsis
Effects of vibronic dephasings on the time-dependent degree of polarization in the two-photon ionization of an isolated symmetric top molecule are theoretically studied. The so-called fast (picosecond) decays of polarization in isolated trans-stilbene are explained in terms of a Coriolis-induced vibronic dephasing mechanism.
