โฆ Synopsis
AC loss measurements have been made, by an electical method, on superconducting niobium samples in the form of tubes and foils. The measured losses can depend strongly on the magnetic history of the samples and characteristic flux motion waveforms are observed when losses are enhanced by the presence of trapped flux.
