β¦ Synopsis
It is the aim of the present work to emphasize the consequences of the field coherence of the pulse on the fluorescence when the cvcitcd medium is SUbJCCt to ptue dcphtirg processes. Usually pure dephasing constants arc responsible for the loss of coherence irutully present in the system. Here It is shown that these proccsrs wn be washedout aNhen some fustorder field coherence IS introduced. Consequently, the coherence becomes tine independent.

Multiple pulse quadrupolar echoes are used to study the effects of heteronuclear dipolar dephasing on the 2H transverse magnetization. It is shown that the effects of motional averaging and dipolar dephasing on the 2H echo amplitudes can be distinguished on grounds of their dependence on the pulse s
