โœฆ Synopsis

Observations on the normal seasonal spermatogenesis o f Rana hexadactyla Lesson reveal that it is continuously cyclic nature. The effect of steroids during different times of a year on the spermatogenesis has also been studied. Testosterone treatment inhibited spermatogenesis at the secondary spermatogonial stage i n all the experimental individuals. Estradiol implantation on the other hand caused a general disintegration of the tubular histoarchitecture. The probable significance of the steroid action on the seminiferous tubules and its relation with the hypophysis and the target organ are discussed.

## Abstract Pituitary extracts from 560 mature __Rana hexadactyla__ of both sexes from winter and summer seasons were collected locally and were injected into frogs from summer and winter months. The adenohypophysial gonadotrophes were studied from normal animals and from the animals injected with
