To study the mechanisms of charge production and storage in poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP), short circuit thermally stimulated currents (TSCs) in solution-grown PVP depolarized at 30, 50 and 80 Β°C with 25, 50 and 100 kV cm Γ€1 have been analysed in the temperature range 30Β±200 Β°C. This work shows that hydration of clays can be studied by means of a new interpretation of thermally stimulated depolarization currents technique. These measurements have been performed on four exchanged natural clays: Na-montmorillonite, Camontmorillonite, kaolinite, and illite. The results are ana
