✦ Synopsis
Data were collected following the administration of various compounds to meiotic yeast cultures to investigate their effects on disomic or diploid induction. Epi chlorohydrin, actinomycin D, and 9-aminoacridine were unable to induce either diploidy or disomy. Ethyl methanesulphonate was active in inducing diploids, while hycanthone induced disomics. /3-Propiolactone, N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, and P-naphtylamine were able to increase both disomy and diploidy .
