## Abstract The goal of this study was to explore whether the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a new screening instrument, would be more sensitive to mild to moderate cognitive impairment in Huntington's disease (HD) than an established screening measure, the Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE). Our

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
To evaluate the efficacy of rivastigmine on motor and cognitive impairment in Huntington's disease (HD), we carried out a prospective, openβlabel, randomized, controlled study. Twentyβone HD patients were enrolled: 14 were randomly sorted into medication and 7 to noβtreatment groups. Clinical and demographic features were similar between groups. After 8 months, an efficacy evaluation was carried out to compare the two groups. The improvement of cholinergic transmission in HD patients seemed to have a slight effect in ameliorating cognitive performance and slowing motor deterioration. Β© 2004 Movement Disorder Society

## Abstract We studied the relationship between two screening cognitive measures and __off__ motor Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scores in 108 Parkinson's disease patients. Multiple regressions were conducted to examine the UPDRS subscores' unique contributions to cognitive funct
## Abstract The purpose of this study was to quantify gait impairments in presymptomatic and symptomatic Huntington's disease (HD) subjects, and examine sensitivity of gait measures. Our sample (n = 65) included presymptomatic mutation carriers (PMC) (n = 15), symptomatic HD subjects (SHD) (n = 30)
## Abstract The purpose of this study was to assess whether rivastigmine, a cholinergic agent, affects tremor features when given to improve cognition in demented Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. Demented PD patients (n = 26; MiniβMental State Examination score, 13β25; age, 75.2 Β± 4.9 yr) were gi
