Abstract

The effects of mutual coupling and ports isolation on the channel capacity are investigated for two‐patch antenna arrays using measured channel data. Three types of arrays are considered: with coupled radiating elements and ports, with coupled radiating elements but isolated ports, and finally with fully isolated antennas and ports. The channel capacities of these structures are compared for MIMO and MISO with antenna selection configurations. Β© 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
