The catalytic enantioselective Michael reaction promoted by quaternary ammonium salt from cinchonidine as a phase-transfer catalyst is described. Treatment of malonate with chalcone derivatives under mild reaction conditions afforded the corresponding Michael adducts in good yields with good to mode
