Abstract

The influences of nanoโ€particles (nanoโ€sized CaCO~3~ and nanoโ€sized SiO~2~) on plasticizers volatility, solvent extraction stability, and exudation stability of flexible PVC were studied. The results showed that nanoโ€particles could reduce migration of plasticizers, thus improved the ability of antiโ€migration of flexible PVC. Further more, nanoโ€sized SiO~2~ shows excellent property than nanoโ€sized CaCO~3~ in resistance migration of plasticizers. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2010

A method has been developed to quantitatively measure the surface plasticizer levels present on test plaques made from a plasticized PVC compound. The plaque fabrication conditions have been chosen so that the plaque closely models an extruded flexible PVC profile. The analysis method utilizes sorpt
