## Abstract The absolute Raman intensities of methanol, ethanol and water in the gas and liquid phases have been measured using 514.5 and 337.1 nm excitation. Large intensity changes were observed for the Raman lines of the OH stretching vibrations in changing from gas to liquid. The observed inten
