✦ Synopsis

The thermal mode/described previously (CRYOGENICS, Vol 16 No 9 (1976) ) is used to explain experimental results obtained by measuring the effect of deformation rate and cooling conditions on low temperature plastic strain. The samples used were polycrystalline phase-transition stable Fe-Cr-Ni alloy steels.
