โœฆ Synopsis

The organophosphorus insecticide Selecron [ O-( 4-bromo-2-chlorophenyl) O-ethyl S-n-propyl-phosphorothioate] at 10 and 50ppm significantly decreased respiration, mycelial protein, extracellular protein and rnycelial dry weight of Aspergillus fumigatus, A. terreus and Myceliophthora thermophila when grown at 45ยฐC. Cx and C1 cellulases of tested fungi were significantly decreased. However, C1 cellulase of A. fumigatus was slightly increased.

## Abstract The majority of insecticidescurrently in use are organophosphorus, carbamate, and synthetic pyrethroid compounds. Organophosphorus insecticides (OPs) produce toxicity by inhibiting the cholinesterase enzymes in the nervous system. Monitoring of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition has

Concern for toxicity following exposure to organophosphorus insecticides led us to investigate whether topical application of either malathion or malathion mixed in a protein bait as used for aerial spray applications could be toxic to the ocular/visual system. Adult male Long-Evans rats were either
