โœฆ Synopsis

Although production methods of short-lived radioactive gfQes were established more than ten years ago, production of CO seems tolgtill have a probl . The conventional method to produce 2 difficulty in temperature control because reduction temperature (390OC or higher) is nefy to the melting point of zinc (419.5 "C). Usually yield of CO rises as the reduction temperature, so careful temperature control is necessary to achieve good reduction yield. Even at a temperature proximate to the melting point, yield is significantly lowered at a higher flow rate ( > 100 ml/min). CO, reduction of "CO with zinc metal (l), has a " .

A one-pot synthesis of [ ' l C ] labeled tamoxifen has been d veloped via reductive carboxylation. In this approach, [ 'C]C02 is reacted with the N-trimethylsilyl derivative of desmethyltamoxifen, followed by in situ sodium bis (2-metho ethoxy)aluminum hydride reduction, to afford impure ["C] labele
