✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Analytical expression for effective permeability of inner ring shorted split ring resonator is derived in this paper. The resonant frequencies thus calculated are compared with published results and good agreement is observed for higher split lengths. Simulation results for effective permeability with different gap lengths in the split ring resonator are also included in this paper. Β© 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A new type of microstrip coupler with complementary split‐ring resonator (CSRR) is proposed. The characteristic impedance of the even mode can be enhanced by etching CSRR structure in the grounded plane of a conventional microstrip parallel‐coupled coupler. This results in a higher degr

In this paper, we discuss the complimentary split-ring resonator (CSRR) structure, an alternative way to achieve band-stop characteristics in electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures. The microstrip line with square-shaped CSRRs etched in the ground plane is designed and fabricated. The S-parameters
