Многое, на мой взгляд. Более половины содержания - новое. Добавлены части, посвященные управлению ресурсами и шаблонам (в предисловии к книге Александреску "Современное проектирование на С++ " Майерс винится, что не уделил шаблонам С++ должного внимания - и исправляет эту оплошность). Все старые темы пересмотрены, чтобы отразить современные подходы к дизайну: шаблоны проектирования, исключения, многопоточность. В конце книги - карта соответствия глав второго и третьего издания. И еще: 5 звезд на Амазоне при более чем 100 оценивших - это кое-что значит! К сожалению, насколько я знаю, русского перевода еще нет.
