## Abstract Distillation foreruns from East Indian sandalwood oil (__Santalum album__ L.), representing 5–8% of the oil, have been investigated using fractional distillation, preparative column chromatography, gas liquid chromatography (GLC.), and chemical treatments. This allowed the isolation and
