This was done employing one or more of the following methods:

(1) Stereographic manipulation combined with matrix algebra;

(2) Vector algebra using the stereographic projection and Rodrigue's formula;(')

(3) Mackenzie's method.( 8) If the condition 6 = 1 is relaxed, the analysis to determine the elements of the inhomogeneous distortion can be carried through without knowing the lattice parameter ratios. The resulting values are however too sensitive to the number in the third decimal place of the input dat,a, and are therefore not included here. Numerous valuable comments by Dr. M.
