✦ Synopsis


Five subjects were exposed to a thirty-minuie period low-frequency, narrow band, random vertical vibration spectrum, with frequency peak at 2.5 Hz and an r.m.s. "g" of 0-23, and with some low frequency acoustic noise, during which they were asked to perform a simple vigilance task. The effect of this low frequency random vertical vibration on the task is discussed in this paper.
