Evidence is presented for morphological proof of exocytosis in the rat adrenal medulla in situ. Techniques were modified to allow perfusion of the intact adrenal gland with secretagogues (or electrical stimulation) followed by tannic acid. Unstimulated specimens demonstrated exocytotic (omega-shaped
