The floatability of talc in the presence of six lignosulfonates was studied in a series of Hallimond tube flotation experiments in the alkaline pH range from about 7 to 11.2. The strongest depression of talc was observed at higher pH values (pH βΌ 11) when lime was used for pH adjustments. The depres
Liquid fuels (transport, refining, quality, storage) segregation during loading of the chamber had been changed so that the large-sized pieces of the shale entering into the cylinder central grid were not hituminized during heating.
Three bituminous coals were extracted with 12 different solvents and one solvent mixture in the presence of ultrasonic energy at ambient temperature. The effects of the extraction on the microporosity of the coals was determined by measuring the adsorption of CO, at 298 and 195 K and of N, at 77 K.
