โฆ Synopsis
The present contribution deals with the effects of thermophoretic particle deposition on the free convective flow over a vertical flat plate embedded in a non-Newtonian fluid-saturated porous medium in the presence of a magnetic field. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations by using special transformations. The resulting similarity equations are solved numerically by an efficient implicit finite-difference method. For various values of the problem parameters, graphs of the profile concentration in the boundary layer and of thermophoretic deposition velocity are presented.
