โœฆ Synopsis

Relationships were sought between microclimate (topoclimate) of a hilly territory and the cereal yields (wheat and barley). To eliminate the soil factor effect on yields, an original method of field phytometers with the same soil was applied, permitting an investigation of the effect of microclimate alone on the yield magnitude. The relationships between microclimate and yield are expressed in terms of total, partial and mu!tiple correlation coefficients. The microclimatic productivity of the slope investigated is presented with reference to arid, average and moist years.

## Abstract The effect of topsoil reduction on yields of cereals on soils developed from loess was evaluated on the basis of a case study and analysis of regional data. Differentiation of yields depended on climatic conditions, soil erosion class and its location in the landscape. The results showe
