✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Um die Art der Einwirkung verschiedener aggressiver wäßriger Medien auf Polyethylen zu klären, wurden die Veränderungen einiger Kennwerte des Polyethylens untersucht, und zwar der Festigkeit, Dehnung, Intensität der Röntgenreflexe 110 und 200, des Kleinwinkelreflexes sowie tan δ. Es wurde gefunden. daß bei längerer Einwirkung der untersuchten Medien die Kristallstruktur des Polyethylens zerstört wird, offenbar im Zusammenhang mit Abbauprozessen. In späteren Stadien (über 6 Monate) wird der Abbau verlangsamt oder vielmehr durch kokurrierende Prozesse (z. B. Vernetzung) unterdrückt, was in einer Verringerung der Intensitätsabnahme der Linie 110 zum Ausdruck kommt. Ergänzt werden diese Untersuchungen durch entsprechende Versuche bei 45°C.
