## Abstract In this paper, we systematically investigated the influence of graft reagents having an amino or a carboxyl terminus with different chain lengths on the fluorescence properties of waterβsoluble thioglycolic acidβstabilized CdTe nanocrystals (TGAβCdTe). Strong enhancement effects of the
