The effect of Na-Oleate on the agglomeration of calcium carbonate was investigated. Oleate is determined by Infrared spectroscopy. In order to detect the amount of Oleate adsorbed on the calcium carbonate crystals, the differential thermal analysis method was used. The agglomerate size and zeta pote

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Based on the primary principles of biomineralization, CaCO~3~ similar to that in biominerals was synthesized through biomimetic synthesis under the selfβassembly of sodium acrylate. In our experiment, the formation of the calcium carbonate and the polymerization of sodium acrylate took place simultaneously through the appropriate method. The result shows that the selfβassembly process of the sodium acrylate has an important effect on the crystallization and growth of the calcium carbonate. The result is significant for the mimetics of the biomineralization conditions and the research of biomimetic materials synthesis.

## Abstract Control over crystal morphology of calcium carbonate (CaCO~3~) was investigated by simply changing the stirring speeds in the process of CaCO~3~ formation. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and powder Xβray diffraction (XRD) measurements explore the morphology evolution of CaCO~3~ at v
The effects of seven carboxylic acids, i.e., acrylic acid, maleic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, and citric acid, on CaCO 3 crystallization were studied using the unseeded pH-drift method along with a light-scattering technique. Experiments were started by mixing solutions of CaCl 2
