✦ Synopsis

To those targets partially coated by radar-absorbing materi-( ) als RAM , the effect of absorbing materials on RCS is an important ( ) subject in engineering. According to physical optics PO approximation and electromagnetic theory, the effect of RAM on RCS of both simple and complex partially coated targets is studied, and an experimental method by use of a model is also suggested. Reasonably good agreement between the computed result by model testing and measured data is presented.
